There was once rumors about a range extended EV Mazda2 with a 2rotor engine mounted flat under the rear of the car. It sounded like such a good idea, but I guess it never got off the ground.

Yeah I don’t see why they don’t, even basic math tells you they could make some serious range. I guess the plug in hybrid is what they are selling, oh charge it everywhere and use the EV mode. I don’t know.
